For John Maxwell Team member Nina Obier, finding the John Maxwell Team was all about connecting. “I had wanted to join 5 years ago, but my mom joined instead. Then, I started my own company 2 years later,” she told us. “After an offer I couldn’t refuse, I finally realized that it was time to join. The John Maxwell Team certainly was the missing link!”
Nina joined the JMT in August of 2016 and has been busy connecting ever since. “I have always been very passionate about making connections,” Nina said. “So I am living and sharing the principles of John’s book Everyone Communicates, Few Connect.”
She now hosts breakout events and facilitates The Leadership Game for leaders in her community. She has also connected with other John Maxwell Team members who have helped elevate her. “I had two fellow JMT friends come to my house for a little retreat and 2017 annual planning,” she told us. “I joined the Virtual Sales Bootcamp and have had great accountability partners. I am getting clearer on my target audience and how to serve them.”
To those starting out, Nina has this advice: “Be open minded. Learn AND implement. There is such a thing as information overload.
