Find Your Purpose, Grow Your Potential

In 2011 Joyce McMurran was attending a luncheon in Bremerton, WA. Always interested in growing, she was moved by the speech John Maxwell delivered. Just when she thought he was wrapping up, he announced that he would be forming the John Maxwell Team. “I wanted to join because it was the best leadership training with a number one expert. I wanted access to the tools and resources they were going to offer.”

Suffering from a scarcity mindset, Joyce worried that she would not be able to set enough money aside to join the program. “I had to learn how to save and budget in order to do the things I wanted to do.” She decided to set goals and work towards them. As soon as she had a handle on her budget, she began to experience financial freedom. “Now, with my abundance mindset, I have no fear.”

As a founding member, Joyce attended the first International Maxwell Certification event in February of 2012. “It felt wonderful to not only be a part of a team, but part of a family!” She began to feel transformed by the experience almost immediately.

With a passion for speaking and training, she discovered that the support of the John Maxwell Team was exactly what she needed in order to lead a life of significance. “My passion is to educate, encourage, and empower people to reach their potential and overcome the roadblocks standing in their way to success.” Always looking to add value to others, Joyce has built her life around being a catalyst for change.

Committed to attending every International Maxwell Certification event, Joyce believes that being a part of the team has helped her to stay committed to her personal and professional growth. She says, “To be the person you want to be will require you to be persistent, to love yourself, and to have faith and belief in your potential.”
