Brian Flanagan – Joint Base Andrews, Maryland

Master Sergeant Brian J. Flanagan is a night shift Flight Chief, for the 11th Security Forces Squadron, 11th Security Forces Group, 11th Wing Joint Base Andrews, Maryland. In this capacity, Sergeant Flanagan is responsible for managing 40 subordinates development, readiness and is charged with the mission of protecting Joint Base Andrews, 17 thousand personnel and resources valued over 1.2 billions dollars. He manages security operations for the protection of the President, Vice President of the United States and visiting Foreign Heads of State. He synergizes relationships and coordinates investigations between the Secret Service, State Department, FBI and local police agencies on all security requirements for Joint Base Andrews.

Master Sergeant Flanagan is also the lead executive council member for the National Capital Region Total Force Development Council. During the last year he has organized 25 separate John C Maxwell leadership seminars. The seminars are organized on Joint Base Andrews, the Pentagon, and Joint Base Anacostia Bolling. For these seminars he has organized 75 facilitators to distribute Maxwell leadership principles for 875 Department of Defense members. Sergeant Flanagan developed this council to help grow military leaders and give more information then just the standard military education. He continuously develops the program and ensure that the material is enlightening for every person.

Sergeant Flanagan is 34 years old. He is married for 13 years to his wife Laura whom he met in the United States Air Force.
