A Mother’s Gift.

Gail

In April of 2016 Gail Frankle made a tough decision. A single mother, Gail worked in the corporate world for 30 years. When she heard that John Maxwell had put a team together, she was immediately interested in joining. Gail did not love her job but she was happy with the financial security it provided for her and her children.

For five years she struggled with the decision in front of her. On the one hand, she enjoyed the security a corporate job gave her. But on the other hand, she longed to add value to the lives of young people. It all came to a head when Gail finally worked up the courage to pursue her passion!

“I called the JMT the night I quit my job.” Gail said. Even though she was excited about what the next chapter would bring, she still feared the future. “I had a lot of limiting beliefs. I believed that I needed my salary and I was afraid to live without it.” She leaned on the new community around her to help her overcome her fears. When she did, she was surprised at how much the world around her seemed to stretch and open with new possibilities.

“I was surprised at how much being a part of the Team was like being in a big family.” As she continued to work on her growth, Gail began thinking about her son, David Frankle. He wanted to be a better leader at his gym, and she felt that the JMT could provide him with tools, resources, and relationships that would help him to succeed. “I felt that he could really add value to the program!”

For his part, David was impressed by the immediate changes he saw in his mother when she joined the JMT. “She was happier, less-stressed, and was really enjoying helping others. She loves adding value to other people.” After 30 years in a corporate environment, his mom seemed like a new woman, and he realized that he wanted to grow too.

David joined the JMT in October of 2016. The people he works with immediately noticed a change in him too. “They said I was more engaged, energetic, and organized. They asked me what I’ve been doing and I told them I joined the JMT. It’s really helped me to lead myself toward a better life.”

Gail’s commitment to adding value to others not only impacts the youths she works with, it inspires her son every day in his own journey of transformation. He says, “My mom is one of the greatest people I know. She’s willing to help and she cares for everybody. She’s always willing to help others grow.”
